From September 15 to 16, 2023, the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Exhibition and Forum 2023 with the theme of "Building a Platform for the Convergence and Integration of Industry and Education and Sharing the Achievements of the Development of Vocational Education" was held in Nanning. Nanning University invited the BansomdejChaopraya Rajabhat University of Thailand to participate in the activities and visit the university for exchanges.
On the afternoon of September 16th, Mr. SAYAN PUTTALA, Vice President of BansomdejChaopraya Rajabhat University, and Mr. SUPHACHAI, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs and ASEAN Network, visited Nanning University. Mr. Chen Xiongzhang, Vice President of Nanning University, met with the foreign guests in Conference Room 400 of the Administration Building, and the heads of relevant departments of the college attended.
At the meeting, Mr. Chen Xiongzhang, Vice President of Nanning University, introduced the basic school running situation to the foreign guests and proposed that Nanning University and BansomdejChaopraya Rajabhat University have a good foundation of cooperation. He also introduced that Nanning University is preparing for the establishment of ASEAN College, which will take ASEAN countries as the key area of international exchanges and cooperation of the school, and increase measures in joint cultivation of talents, exchange of faculty, international scientific and technological cooperation, etc. Mr. Chen Xiongzhang also expressed his hope that the two colleges will deepen their cooperation in the future in the areas of joint cultivation of undergraduates and postgraduates, exchange of faculty and students' mutual visits and exchange, and cooperation in teaching and scientific research, etc., and produce more cooperation results to promote the two universities.
Mr. SAYAN PUTTALA said that the engineering-based professional settings and advanced teaching laboratory equipment of Nanning University are admirable. He introduced the history of BansomdejChaopraya Rajabhat University, the second-level colleges and the graduate school, and expressed his great support for the two universities to carry out the exchange program and would also promote the organization of students from the BansomdejChaopraya Rajabhat University to carry out teaching internships and training at Nanning University. He hoped that the two universities would deepen their cooperation and promote humanistic exchanges and educational cooperation.
Before the symposium, Mr. SAYAN PUTTALA visited the Art Gallery, Intelligent Manufacturing Research and Innovation Center, Guangxi Key Laboratory of International Join for China-ASEAN Comprehensive Transportation, and ICT Industry-Education Integration Innovation Base.
It is reported that in May this year, Nanning University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BansomdejChaopraya Rajabhat University of Thailand and has started the enrollment publicity work of joint cultivation of postgraduate programs. Through this visit, Nanning University and BansomdejChaopraya Rajabhat University have not only improved their understanding but also unified their understanding of the cooperation field, which has laid an important foundation for expanding the cooperation between the two universities.
